Henry Cohn, Lek-Heng Lim, Giorgio Ottaviani, and I are organizing a workshop on Tensors in Computer Science and Geometry at the new Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing at U.C. Berkeley in Fall 2014. That fall there will be a special semester on Algorithms and Complexity in Algebraic Geometry, and the workshop will represent one of the three organizing themes of the semester.
